G.P.S. (God's Plan of Salvation)

Sin – separates us from God. God created man and endowed him with dominion over the earth; however, man sinned against God and allowed death to enter into the human race. Romans 5:12 says that “by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned.” Romans 3:23 emphasizes our inability to reach God because of our sin. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Grace – grace is a complicated principle that can be best explained with two aspects. First, God has made salvation available through Jesus and Jesus only, although we did not deserve it. Grace is God’s unmerited favor (Romans 5:8). In other words when we were without hope God accomplished salvation and made it available to us. The second aspect of God’s grace is God makes man aware of his/her sin (conviction) and the forgiveness available through Jesus Christ. God made salvation available to man, but it is not automatic. Man must repent and place his faith in Jesus (John 1:12).

Repentance – the act of repentance is the turning away from sin. Acts 17:30 states that; “God now commands all men everywhere to repent.”

Faith – faith is a deep rooted trust; not some fickle or faint belief. The Bible tells us to put our absolute trust in Jesus’ death for our sins and His resurrected life for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 says; “For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourself it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.” We can’t earn salvation it is a gift given to those that completely rely upon Jesus’ payment for sin upon the cross and His justification through the resurrection (Romans 5:8-15).

I want to pray now to receive Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.
